hey everyone. i am on my phone in southwest Iowa. I am on my 3rd fillup right now. best tank i have had was 13 MPG at 65 mph, 1800 rpm. i changed the oil last week, new air filter yesterday before i left. tires are at proper inflation, trailer is emptty. WTF is wrong with my truck? my dad says it is the continental divide, i have been going uphill the whole time. what do yall think?

well overall killeen and des moines are the same in elevation, if you went through wichita youll have gone up only about 500 feet, so really over that long of a distance youre not seeing much resistance....

Az, are you taking in account that your speedo / odo is off by 10% because of the tires?

Is it possible your speedo / mileage is off due to bad calibration of your tires?

You are actually doing around 72 MPH and getting 14.3-14.5 MPG.

Your lift and tires are what kills your highway mileage. You expose all the undercarriage an that adds drag.

I have been going off my GPS, which is telling me my odometer is only off by a couple miles. I dont know how many times my truck has gone into regen, i am going to assume none since my steady speed at the rpm keeps my engine hot enough right? i am not doing 72 at 1800, according to my gps. firemedic is running the same lift and tires I am and he is seeing almost double my mileage.
