Thanks guys. If I pull the gasket off and it tears or something should I get a new one from dodge or the auto parts store, or should I make another out of RTV silicon.

Mine (2006) wasn't stuck or anything. Came off nice and easy. I doubt you will have issues.

Yeah, it definitely won't tear or anything. It is like a really hard rubber or something. I don't think my diff covers have any type of fluid level indicator on them?

Yeah I've still got stock covers and there is definitely no indicator on mine.

Just pull the plug out and you can see the fluid inside. If you stick your finger in you should feel fluid right below the hole.

Check out the application guide from Amsoil. Punch in your truck specs and it will tell you all of your fluid capacities as well as torque specs for all plugs and cover bolts.

P.S. The differential gaskets are rubber over steel.Don't worry about tearing anything. If you pull all bolts but the top one and loosen it2 turns, the oil will break the gasket loose as it drains and your cover won't fall off and flip gear oil all over the place. Just wipedown the gasket, the gasket surface on the diff and cover, thenthrow it back together at the correct torque, and you'll be fine.
