Default Warning horn when door is open

I hook up to a lot of trailers and when in "R" with the door open the horn sounds. Can this be eliminated. If so how? I have asked the delaer if they can reprogram it so that it doesn't do it but they say no.

It's because some tard fell out while backing a truck up a long time ago so now they make it do this. The dealership won't do anything about it, but I've heard of some guys splicing into the wire and putting a switch on it so that it won't do it anymore. I don't have much info other than that though. My 06 doesn't do it though thank God. I do this on a daily basis. I'll probably wish it did do it though when I fall out haha.

There is a sensor on the door. You could probably just jam the sensor closed so it always thinks the door is shut.

Buckling the seat-belt behind you will also make it not beep.

My 06 does it, a friend is a service manager at a dealership. He put the computer on it and tried to get it off but the computer won't let you do it. He did however turn off my seatbelt alarm.

You can also put the e-brake on ever so slightly.

Default Horn

Thanks for the input. I won't have to worry about it when I get the train horns hooked up I'll just disconnect the original one. Ha HA, there's always more than one way to blow your horn. Believe I can do that in about 3 years. $$$$$LOL

You disconnect the wire at the plug under the driver seat near where the seat belt bolts to the floor and jumper the two pins in the plug. This also disables your seat belt chime and indicator on the dash.
