I replaced the injector pump and it started right up, it seems by most accounts if the lift pump goes out you will end up replacing the injector pump. I will install a fuel pressure guage. I haven't decided if I will install a mechanical or go with electric.

mechanical is cheaper and far more reliable/accurate.

get yourself an isspro 0-30psi mechanical with a tapped banjo bolt, a needle valve, and 6' of 1/8" airbrake line from napa.

put it all together and you have an extremely accurate and reliable gauge for about $65.

Thanks Jigabob. I will go with the mechanical guage. I would like to use some kind of flexible fuel hose if I can find it. I was a mechanic for many years and when you go from the engine to frame you really need some flex.

are you talking about for the gauge? if so: you can always put in a grease gun hose if you want a flexible section from the fuel filter housing to the gauge line....otherwise airbrake line is pretty flexible and very strong.

Unless you enjoy buying new injector pumps, the stock lift pumps in all 24 valve engines were trash. Many other options will correct wasting money when you do what Dodge did not!
