Default newbie questions 2002 ram 2500 with a cummins

It was sugested to me to cross post this over in this forum.
thanks.

hello, new to forum. Tried to search but no mater what I put in I found no answers, none. maybe I am not searching correctly.

just bought a 2002 dodge ram with the cummins.
replaced all the brake parts. wow, expensive.

I need some help with a few issues.

heated seat replacement element, where to get and how much are they?

what would be causing my front trac bar to be hitting the differential. It is hitting pretty hard, dented cover and looks like it will wear through.

again new to me truck so I don't know the history.

I also noticed that the left lower controll arm is a bit bent. Going to replace it, but I don't see how that could move the axle forward if that is the reason the track bar is hitting.

where is a good place to extend the oil vent on the front of the motor to.
I hate how the fan blows it all over the front of the motor and the fan.

transmission line.
one of them is a piece of rubber hose that has 5 hose clamps on it.
I would like to know if there is a short hose that they replaced with this.
that is if short hose would have the regular slip clamps and they rigged this up?
it is right under the radiator running up to the cooler.
or is it supposed to be all one piece from the cooler, under the transmission and up some where on the right side of the motor.

so is there any other common things with these trucks that I should look at or check into.

thank you very much for taking the time to read all of that.
I hope that I have been clear with my questions.
sorry if they have been asked a 1000 times. but search is just not working for me.
tried, track bar hitting diff, hitting differential. nothing.

Most the time with the heated seats go out you can sometimes find some aftermarket ones try like ebay or something otherwise you will have to go to the dealer and get them. The track bar is a common thing to go out on these trucks, but if the lower arm is bent then you'll have to fix that first and then see if the track bar is bad. For the blow by hose you can extend it back behind the engine to about where the transmission ends, it may still blow stuff over your rear axle and driveshaft. Transmission lines I haven't been able to find any aftermarket at all I had to get some from the dealer for my truck. Hope that helps you out

called dodge and got some questions answered.
transmission line. connector on one end and really is hose clamped on the other.

seat heater 148.00 5073081 AA
key 13.00
fob 70.30
control arm 255.00 52106778 AA
track bar 337.00 52113283 AA
transmission line 97.80 4798875 AC

so now I can do a parts search, I knew they would be scary but the arm and bar are way expensive.

can the track bar be rebuilt?
may try the junk yard for the control arm.

thanks again, I hope that my search helps others here as well.

any advice or other things that I should look at or look for?

You can get a MOOG Track bar and possibly get a control are from Carquest or Advance Auto for a farily good price, instead of OEM parts, Also after my last post I found you can get Trans lines from NAPA now. With suspension parts I wouldn't go with just who ever has the cheapest one 'cause you just have to replace it again. Moog is real good quaility and has a lifetime warranty.

it is the return line I am looking for. the slip clamp on one end.
and I guess you really do hose clamp the other end.

I'm not sure on the part numbers just call your local NAPA store and find out the prices and stuff

As long as you have those part numbers, NAPA should be able to look them up and cross reference them.
