Default tranny gremlin

My 98 auto trans has a very strange issue. I dont have anyway to explain the problem except this, when cruising between 40mph and 52mph the transmission feels like it cant decide to be in or out of overdrive. Thats the best way to describe the problem. It does it with or without a load. Please help! and ill try to give you the best descriptions as possible

Clean all of your grounds. Battery, frame, block, transmission, electrical connectors. What you are describing is a pretty common complaint. Many times it can be corrected by cleaning the grounds. The electrical signals are kinda sensitive on those transmissions. If cleaning doesn't help, post back, we'll help you out

check your throttle position sensor.

I have the same problem but i did clean the grounds and its still happning...took to a tranny shop and he said that thats normal..dont believe

only works on 1gens so still puzzled

No, I know that it will work on some 2gen trucks, I'm just not sure which ones.
