That is kick A@#. where bouts is the turbo silencer and it is difficut to remove. I am more into the turbo noise than loud exhaust. Right now there is a K&N Cold Air Intake (it helped the turbo whistle a little) and Magna Flow 5" turbo back exhaust.

the silencer is located right inside the inlet of the turbo, and held in with a snap ring, just pull the ring and the silencer out, un less you have a 6.7 then they are a real PITA to get out, do you have a complete cai? from the turbo to the filter?

Ok, i did put the cai in myself and it connected directly to the front of the turbo. When i remove the original i saw the vanes of the turbo but nothing else. What does it look like?

Maybe it was already removed???

There should be a snap ring inside the inlet, where the I.intake clamps to the turbo, and the sliencer is just a found piece of tin, not real noticeable if you haven't seen one, I'll try to snap a pic of one in a bit

Finally it got warm enough to go out and gut the intake tube.Pulled that B.S. baffle out of it and the white veins.Made a huge difference in the sound inside the cab.Got a very nice whistle now.
