hello all, i know the overhead is not bang-on when it comes to fuel milage. how far off is it on other members trucks? i have kept check on mine since i got the truck, and unloaded, carrying and towing, any usage at all, the computer is 1 mile off the exact milage if it says 13.6 then it is 12.6 real, has anyone else found their number.
I haven't checked to be sure but it seems to be a mile or so off for me. The miles left counter is way off though. I trusted it once and that was a big mistake. Computer said 41 miles to empty and I ran out on the way to the fuel station. '08 4500 with 55g tank.

when we are traveling i watch that readout, and i trust it sometimes, but this will keep me on the high side rather than the low, thanks.
dasnake: When it comes to the Overhead Bogameter in regards to MPG, it's a joke. I do all my MPG measurements hand calculated. I never trust the range thing. I strictly go by miles driven and the Fuel guage. It's off by 4=> 5 MPG vs hand calculated. The temp readings and distance are accurate. Speedometer is within +/- 1.0 MPH radar verified. My GMC Yukons MPG is very accurate less <= 0.5 MPG compared to hand calculated.
i notice the members commenting in this post have differing ages of their trucks, the older the truck, the more the overhead is out. like i said, mine is an '07, it has been the same since i bought it new, thanks for all the input.
