Check the code yourself with the key trick https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...code-list.html. Then post the code that comes up in the 3rd gen ram section.

I went to autozone and the code they gave me was p2509. I called dodge dealer and they said it was my battery or battery connection. I have checked my batterys and every wire that i can find. This made no differience. Two days later the light went off. The truck runs great but has no fuel milage. This has been 3 days no light , today after sitting all night, I started the truck, when you turn of the key all is well, when it gets to the start postion it sounds like a electric fuel pump rattling as it trys to start, truck starts runs great engin light is on. and bad fuel milage. I also done the key trick, The engin light flashed 10 times. thats all it did not give any info.

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves selectively erasing and reprogramming the Powertrain Control

ETH) built on or before November 29, 2006 (MDH 1129XX).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may experience the illumination of the “Check Gauges” lamp on the

Check Engine / Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination.
Further diagnosis may reveal the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) have been
set:
P2502 - Charging System Error - Diesel
P2503 - Charging System Output Low - Diesel
P2509 - Powerdown Data Lost Error - Diesel
DIAGNOSIS:
Using a Scan Tool (StarSCAN®) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in
TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are
present record them on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further
with this bulletin.
If the vehicle operator describes or experiences the Symptom/Condition, perform the
Repair Procedure.
