Default odd truck problems. NEED HELP!!

alright i have a 95 cummins that recently started giving me some wierd problems.
As i drive my truck it'll run fine and every thing until i shut it off. once i start it back up, the check engine light flickers, the charging system stops working, rpm gauge stops working, and overdrive stops also. Ive replaced the crank sensor and spaced it right at .050 like everyone say. So what else could be the problem? i could really need the help thanks guys

A moderator would have to move it. There is a Cummins Section. Not many of us have oil burners....

Also, find the FAQ/DIY section and look through there - download the service manual there. It ill come in handy.

For your dig, look at uper left for UserCP. Click on that and you will see "edit your signature" link. You can add infor about your truck so everyone knows what you are working on/needing help with.

Welcome to DF.

Don't know if it helps, but I'm having a similar problem with a '96 Ram 2500 diesel. All the gauges go all hinky and turn signals don't work properly. However, a gentle push on the shift lever gets things more or less back to normal. "Normal" in the case of this truck means that the fuel gauge doesn't work (hasn't for a few years) and ABS light stays on. I'm thinking there's a bad ground...somewhere...but have no idea where to look.
