New Cummins...now a predicament...
Go get the cat done. Just call them and say what the problem is tell them to order a cat in. It will take them a matter of 20min to install it. You could also say you got a warning for a noise ordnance and to get your exhaust fixed. I personally wont buy a new vehicle with all the crap in them. My buddy has a 11 6.7 and it looks just as bad as ford a chevy. Open my hood and you can easily work on anything and not have to take off 20 things to get to something.
Well an update on this... Dodge did of course put a cat in, which I believe I did say I would expect them to do so. Not really a hassle on that issue, took it in and a couple hours later it was installed. So in their eyes at the moment, my truck is fully stock, and abiding by all warranty standards.
HOWEVER I took it to a local shop who did a delete for me. Removed EVERYTHING. EGR, cats, DPF and the muffler. Basically its now a turbo-back, tuned and egr removed.
MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE! The local shop threw all the "old" parts in the back, in the case where I need to claim warranty. Apparently he does many of these, and if its a case where its still a vehicle on warranty, he will throw the old exhaust back in (for free) IF there is an issue. Of course he has had a few guys melt things up and of course dodge is gonna figure it out.
So I am running a pyro, which I currently have set at 1250. Installer said so long as I keep track of all my temperatures and figure out defuel settings, I should never have an issue. I have my boost set at 32, which at the moment I am not exactly happy with. I hit 32 just on hard acceleration, which seems odd to me. Would anyone have any input on that?
I can say tho, that this is a whole different truck. I have already picked up 4 MPG, on mild settings, and this is towing numbers. Truck is much much peppier, runs nicer, and IMO a whole new truck.

we've been saying that for a long time lol. you get nothing but benefits from doing deletes.
you get more power, less problems, more fuel economy, etc...
engine will last longer and run better with fewer problems without all that emissions crap on it.

Right on.
In no time the catt del and egr del will pay you back with better mpg and less $$$ to spend on choked cats and EGR.
Thier is mainatance on the catt to replace a filter, that is a warenty item, I was quoted 700.00 to do this by a Edmonton dodge dealer last time I was interested in a new CTD..
All you need now is the basic filter checks, oil, ect.
All othier aspects of the truck should still be under warenty ( not emissons or engine, or transmisson)

Yes it was just getting the nerves to drop the dough to do it! Prices have gone up on that stuff soo much. Cost me 2300 to do this job, Canadian that is....
Because H&S has stopped production on pretty much all products, the prices of those objects have skyrocketed. I got the 3rd last EGR delete kit in Calgary, or so my installer said. When H&S announced the production hault, there was a distributor in Calgary that ordered 700 minimax tuners. My installer was only allowed to buy 10 because there was such a demand. Those 700 are now gone, and he only has 3 left...
So was it worth it to do this, well just judging on whats going on with H&S and all the lawsuits. I think I might have saved myself headaches in the future just by buying the kits.
Hopefully Chrysler will focus more on those running the urea when it comes out in the spring, and leave us guys running these filters alone. (laughs in mind)

Im not so sure urea is the way to go. With the power stroke, it gos into a limp mode if you run out of urea, and than it will give you a warning and than it shutts down.
Im sure you could try peeing in the urea tank to get by as urea is basicly whale pee..
And with dodge thier keeping all the filters and adding urea...
Going to be real happy smelling truck when they burn out the catt in re gen mode
