Question going backwards

ok guys help me out here
1993 5.9 12v ,,ve pump(i think) it is the stock style,i want to take this truck back to stock,, i have 75hp inj. from auto diesel power 7x.010 is what they call them,,pump took a **** and i bought a 180hp pump to replace the 160hp factory pump,, now i think it is getting to much fuel,, i got the pump turned way down,,denny t stage 1 pin all the way up,, and it still smokes at idle and in mild accelaration,, wich i dont think is right,,if i travel (empty) and get into the slightest pull the EGT'S get way up there quick,,so whatcha think about back to stock injectors??? its got a hybred hx35x40 turbo that i built and a three inch down pipe that i want to keep on there,,but if i ever want to pull anything i think i will be in trouble the way the EGT'S get way up there,,,,
thanks mikey

where do you have your timing set? and by turned way down, do you mean you have backed the power screw out? if so how much, it wont hurt anything to back it down to a happy spot

1/8" bump on timing, power screw out till it will idle with no response with the throttle,, then mabe 3/4 to 1 turn,, iam really thinking the injectors are not 75 hp,, i think they are bigger, thats why i want to return them back to stock,,.
thanks trucker

well im having trouble remembering what i did to mine, but at one point i put a massive set of injectors in mine and it was a disaster to drive with your same symptoms, 7x10 sounds quite large, but i need to do the math to be sure, the bast set of injectors i ever run in it was the DDP 80's,

7x10 is not that big, actually just a bit smaller than a 5x12 (90hp) so it sounds right

sorry, went out on outside call

anyway, there must be something wrong here, that size injector shouldnt fuel that hard, u changed the fuel pin? are you sure that all got assembled correctly? did you make sure the keyway was lined up when putting the gear on? did you do anyother adjustments?
