Angry No PRNDL HELP PLEASE

2011 Ram 5500 Cummins chassis with service body. I installed a new transmission, No PRNDL display on dash. It's weird, the PID's are displaying "Manual" in two different places on the scanner. One place is the configurations screen. The truck is an automatic. Am I looking too deep into it? It is kind of alarming to me. The PID's do show where you shift the column shift lever on the scanner but do not display on the dash.

Also, sometimes I am showing a transmission output speed of 32 rpm's or 64 rpm's when the truck is not moving. Went through harness and replaced sensor. I could not find any issues and the sensor replacement did not remedy the problem.

Have you tried pulling the battery cables and just doing a full restart on the system? Sounds like probably an EVIC issue if the OBD is showing shift positions, does the truck operate normally otherwise? go into gears, drive and shift like normal?

Yes, disconnected both batteries and reset. Transmission is in limp mode I believe, it will not shift out of whatever gear it is in. Reverse works as well.

I cant remember do these still use a shift cable or is it all electronic, have you verified adjustment? If i recall you pull an extra shift over to enter manual mode, have you triedshifting it to neutral position and see if it drives

Yes, the trans range sensor is hooked up and you can read the PID‘s on where your column shifter is on the scanner even tried a new range sensor no change. Adjusted it 100 times no change.

Adjusted the range sensor on the transmission 100 times no change. Tried a different range sensor no change. You can view where the column shift lever position is on the scanner as well.

Where does the cluster get it's info to display in the PRNDL? IS it from the range sensor?? Or is there another sensor drifting about somewhere?

As far as I know, it gets its signal from the range sensor. I've tried a new range sensor and adjusting it many times. The PID's in the scanner show it changing when moving the column shifter.

Gonna need a manual to determine that for sure..... If the computer it seeing it, but, the cluster is not, and the trans isn't shifting properly, something is awry.... Are you getting any codes?
