OK, i'm thinking I might get one with a tip (currently dont have a tip) and put the muffler in front of the Magnaflow... since they are both straight thru designs, should still flow really well and have a "not too loud" exhaust tone.

what do you guys think of this setup?

It should work, the aero's are designed to be stacked, and put as close to the down pipe as possible. The sound from mine is awesome. The 5" tip that came with it looks really good, it even says Aero Turbine on two sides.

You might want to contact the guy's at Aero first.

The only reason I say this is because part of the whole Aero thing is that they create some sort of turbulence and FORCE the exhaust out. I've actually witnessed this. Standing next to the tailpipe when the truck is running you get BLASTED by the exhaust. I don't know if by putting another muffler after it, even though it's also a straight thru, will slow down the flow of the exhaust at all and actually make things worse.

I honestly don't know. My first inclination would be to put the Aero AFTER the Magnaflow muffler because of the whole turbine thing. Ask the Aero guy's. Jason ( I think that was his name ) is VERY cool to talk to. They'll be more than happy to answer your questions.

Just talked with James at Aero and he says there is no problem stacking the two, several others have done it w/o problems. just keeps the volume down as he puts it...

I ordered my Aero from Verocious Motorsports ( listed on the right hand side -----> )

They offer $50.00 off when you mention a code number. You'll see it when you look up the muffler. They're also a cool group of guy's to deal with.

Glad to hear that you'll be OK with the set up. Better to ask in advance and be safe rather than find out too late and be sorry.

When you get it, make sure you follow the instructions and mount it the right way. Rings towards the back.

oh yeah... will do. cant wait to get it here. I'm also ordering guages shortly. gonna go with the dash mount I found during the converasation in the other thread I started...

It would be nice however if I could get this aero installed before Friday... heading down to LA for a couple of nights and it would be an excellent time to evaluate... [sm=badbadbad.gif]

Are you going to weld it in or are you going to clamp it?

Verocious also sells these cool new ( new to me anyway ) clamps the cover the joint. I didn't use them since I had mine welded, but if you're clamping it in don't forget to order those as well. The sooner you order it from them , the sooner it'll go out. I ordered mine on a wednesday and they managed to get it out that day and I had it thursday. Order it today and you may just have it in time. Worse case, take it with you and have it installed in LA and you at least be able to drive it home with it installed.

I can find a shop close to work to do the install. damn, i'm excited... cant wait now to get it.
