remote starters??????????
Hey guys. I plan to put a remote start on my 05, and in my wiring info it says I can`t use the WTS on this vehicle. Is this true? It states to set a programmable timer for 5, 10, 15, or 20 seconds. Anyone here tapped the light.

i havnt personaly but theree is nothing wong with using a timer, just that even when you dont need to wait to start the truck it is still going to, how long do you normaly have to wait....set the timer for around that, id say the 15 second wait time to be safe...

nope, mines set for about 15~30 sec (never timed it), that should be long enough for the "light" to go out. I could be wrong but w/o glow plugs, is it really only priming the fuel system?
they realy arn't bad to put on, if you know how to use a multi-meter and have some basic electrical knowledge, by chance are you around iowa, i could assist you in puting it in.

If you are, I really appreciate your offer and I would love your help, however I'm in Philly.
Thanks for offering though !!
The unit I have doesn`t have the timer(I bought it when I had my last truck and never installed it) But I solved my own problem. The WTS input can be negative or positive. When the light is on so is the grid heater, so I take my signal from there. Kevin.
