I looked at the mmo web site and it states that it is safe to use in diesel engines. The dye is not the same dye used in off road fuel, nor the same concentration. If you go to their website and look under the faq it has this information. Just thought I would let you all know.

I know I've heard that when folks start using biodiesel sometimes the surfactants in it will cause the fuel filter to clog. Has anyone had anything like this happen in their truck since the additives used in this brew both contain "cleaners" of sorts?

it's not the surficants that cause the clogging. . .it is the difference in PH and other acids in the oil that cause the gunk that builds up in the tank and fuel lines to break up and get pulled up through the pick-up hose.

Have you changed or modified the brew at all Drew? I know you were toying around with the idea of eliminating the MoMo and use 2-stroke instead.

At this time I’ve stopped all additives in my fuel for a few tanks to get it all cleaned out and will start again from scratch. When I used Drew’s brew I never had any problems with my truck. In fact put a good 11,000 miles on my truck with PS and MMO with out any problems.

When I started to use 2-cycle oil it was in the wintertime and I noticed a drop big in mpgs. I now have about 3,000 miles on my use of 2-cycle oil and last weekend I had an injector or 2 knocking on my truck while I had PS, MMO and 2-cycle oil in the tank. Though I’m not sure if adding the 8oz of MMO to the mix caused it or what but I can say thank goodness I had some Lucas around. I put 9 oz of Lucas in the tank and drove the truck on the freeway @70-80 mph the 15 miles to town and when I stopped at Walmart I no longer had an injector knock so I can say it is some good stuff.

Anyway this weekend I’ll use 8 more oz of Lucas and put a ton of rock in the bed and take it on an all day run to the Mississippi river then go south to Dubuque and back home to make sure I no longer have any carbon or sticky injectors so that I can start the additive trials again but I'm not sure if I will try the 2 cycle oil again.

I am new to all of this and was wondering if anyone has tried the PSD and Lucas instead of PSD and MMO?
