RE: hug your pup
thanks to all,
Little did i know that my lady snuck Nick out one evening when i was at the gym about 4 months ago and had my Christmas gift made. He was already 8 months past when the vet said the cancer would take him, but i am sure he had fun pulling my lady around while the photographer laughed. I hope these load right. Merry Christmas to all

RE: hug your pup
Well I thought I would throw up another one of my brothers dog. I watched him for 6 months when he couldnt have him in his apartment in texas. Well he finally got a new place and had been there for about 5months when I am to visit. I slept on the pullout couch, he slept with me. When ever his roomates would walk in the room in the morning and I was still asleep he would pop up and growl at them. As soon as I was up he was best friends with them again. Is crazy how protectve some dogs are of their family. He also stopped a burgler from braking into my house when he lived with me. He is one kickass dog.

RE: hug your pup
Our dog Jack thinks the center console belong to him. When we were on vacation this summer Jack rode on the console 98% of the time during our 4500-mile vacation to Oregon. In fact he is so spoiled my wife made a padded cover for the console for him to lie on so that it would be nice and comfy for him. Too us he is a part of our family and not just a dog like some people have.

RE: hug your pup
Sorry to hear about your loss. I had to put my dog Buddy down a few years back. He was a rottie / shepard mix with alittle hound thrown in for the hell of it. Never went any where with out him, stop to get a burger you better have one for him to. He was 15 years old, born without any hip sockets, and best dog I have ever owned. Now have a pit bull / red healer cross and her pup, she is by far the smatest dog i have ever seen and her pup is the exact oppisite, will love them and give them a big hug and take them for a ride just for you.
On a side note, my father who lives in NE Nevada just lost his dog to a cougar attack, died while protecting his other "girls", needless to say, after the new year starts, I will be making a road trid to do a little old fasion trackin and cat skinnin. Troy

Dude I feel your pain, I cried like a baby when I took my best friend in. I swore I would not have another dog, hurts too much when you loose them. Two months later my wife found a 4 month old lab / pointer mix pup on a highway overpass. I freaked out told her no way, she is now 3 years old and has worked her way into my heart. We bought acamper because we took our first dog everywhere with us. This one loves it even more than our last one. If you even look like your loading the truck or camper up she goes into a frenzy. Open the back door of the truck and she jumps in and sits her big rear between the kids booster seats. *** on the seat and feet on the floor, ready to go! She gets hugs from me, the wife, and the kids on a daily basis.

Sorry to hear about your loss Mike.
Here'sa pic of my basset (8 yrs old), my roommate's pit bull (2yrs old), and my Major's mutt (yr unk).We take them out with us when we're training in the field. You can see one of my old trainees petting my hound instead of securing the raid site (it gave us a laugh). He usually spends the day in my truck (akathe armored vehicle) but that morning he was guarding the "terrorist" camp site with the other dogs. I love being able to take him to work some days.
