I'd love to hide one under a Ram hood...lol.
Yup, they be little guys they only supply power for MCC, couple comptuers, small portable office andyard lights. They're running on natural gas produced on site, small gas plant producing 1mmcfd.
Been around alot bigger myself.
Cooper bessemers 2 stroke v6 and v8s, whites, wauks and cats 3142,3303 3606s. Oil & gas industry(alberta, canada) use a lot of cat power for some reason. Don't like em myself way toomany shutdowns on em, ya look at em sideways and they'eron there a$$.Gimmie an old cooper or a white they may slobber oil but they have a lot less down time!

My girlfriend's mother slobbers quite a bit herself. Mostly from the effects of OVER oiling her system with Barton's Vodka.
Anyway.......................lol.....
This is the biggest I can lay claim too. GM-EMD V-12 from an SD-60 locomotive. I will have to get my book and see what the cubic inch displacement is. I am pretty sure there were models that were as low as 750 ci per cylinder, all the way up to around 1100-1200 ci per cyl. GE also builds a mammoth for their own locomotives. EVVO series, I think, maybe REVO...........
If it's DEVO, you'll have to whip, whip it good.......LOL......
Thank you guys, I'm here all week.....
Here's some pics, no big deal.
Good luck with ALL our rides.

demon, i believe you are right on the model number, we also have one that is a v8 and 2 1975 cummins 275 horse pump motors, all have had a rough life the v's get started once a week for an hour run test, plant emergency lighting is what they are used for, the cummins get started once a week for 5 minutes and twice a year for an hour and then shut down loaded, many turbos have been replaced on them
DieselDemon, GM-EMD V-12 from an SD-60 locomotive, I got that beat.
ALCO 251C 16V 2800 Horse Power

Used for Emergency Diesel Generators on the USS Wasp LHD-1, back in my Navy days. We had 2 onboard. It used 300psi of air to start that bad boy.

yup good ole air start... about 20yrs ago worked in a large gas production facility with 17(different makes and sizes)units running 3 and 4 throw reciprocating comps. all had air starts (300psi as well)after starting 4 or 5 units it took time to biuld up enough air press to get rest going (time is money gotta get em going fast) so one had to bar em over to TDC, tgis was done by hangin off the end of a 10ft snipe and droppin pin into flywheel.. some of the smaller guys would get stuck in mid air if the engine was close to TDC and rolled "back" on em!!
Can't remember piston sizes but on some of the units they could take doors of block and smaller guys could crawl in, to work on connecting rods!!
