Default Extra 06 Keys

Does anyone know of a place to get some spare keys cheaper than at the dealer? I know if you lose one it is around 200 dollars to get it replaced. I have seen them online before I just cant remember where. If I get one now then I can program it as long as I have the 2 orginal keys. Thanks in advanced.

When I was reading my manual it said that if you have one key you can program the other by like turning the key to on then to the off position like 4x and then steping on the brake....something like that.

I didnt know you were looking for the key with the remote also. I bought the one I did because I am installing a remote starter (ONE DAY!) and didnt want the huge key on my ring anymore once I had it.

The key has a chip in it also (inside the plastic part). The big fat plastic part is simply to house the keyless entry and panic controls. You WILL have to program the key to the truck which is a simple process. This is how the old transponder modules for remote starters would work, you would put the spare key in a black box under the dash and wrap a wire around the key cylinder in the steering column. When the remote start was activated the alarm would activate the box transmitting the transponder chip in the key to the key cylinder allowing the vehicle to start. The truck knows the keys you program to it an dwill only respond the those keys. Do I konw my key from ebay works, no I dont, I havent had it cut yet. Do I think it will work, yes because I understand the system.
