the only way to retreive starts is by useing the OBDII computer.

 

If I purchase/order a new dodge, the dealer said it will come with 6.7 CTD along with 6 speed AUTO transmission. Should I stay away from that?

That guy is on the pipe. You should be able to ORDER anything you want. Screw this guy !! Get as far away from him as possible.

The only thing he MAY be right about is the 6.7 thing. I don't think you can order a new Ram with the 5.9 anymore, but you should be able to order it with a stick.

Keep looking, and don't be scared to drive out of your zip code. There are 5.9's out there, but I'm sure they're getting snapped up.

as of 14 Dec 06 you can no longer order the 5.9L. only the 6.7L can be ordered now.

If I wanted a new truck and the 6.7L is all I could order I would probably go for it. Cummins put alot of time and resources into the development and production of this engine. the only thing that scares me is all the smog crap and the "$995 Clean Diesel Technology system" scam. but then again DC is playing this one smart and showing the customer why diesel engines are bringing a premium price.

I still think you should shop it around. Look ... if you know in advance that you are going to wind up with a 6.7, there really isn't a rush. I STILL think you can find a 5.9 out there if that's what you really want. Also, I don't think or remember hearing about any problems with the 6 speed auto tranny. I think that's what kingdog went with but I'm not sure. Either way shop it around and like I said before, don't be afraid to go outside of your zip code. I know they aren't dually's, but I seem to remember some guy's scoring the new Megacabs in texas for around 35K.

I checked maybe around 50 delaerships within 200miles from my zipcode. I can't seem to find a white one with laramie package in dually. Anything else, I find it [:@]

I think I will still be doing more research.

I will put in Arlington, TX and see their inventory

 

Can you do a country search instead of just a zip code? Perhaps what you want can be shipped to you or better yet ..... ROAD TRIP !!!



How about if you are less strick about your color choice? You might have better luck then.

 

Is there anyway I can do a country search? I thought I had to click each dealer's inventory to see their inventory one by one.
