Normal safety crap, we all have it, 2005, 2006 and now 2007. Just hook the seat bealt up when you need the door open when backing up, then unhook and wrap it around you when you need to hit the road.

This was a safety recall for 2003-2004 models.

Had not heard it went back that far. I only know about 2005 and up.

Thanks guys for help
and yes my door was wide open backing up , i guess i have to keep that in mind at 5:30 AM lol.
Mine is 2003 and as far as the recall (Sabersix) do you think i should call dealer??
Im pretty sure that 25% of the times i back up its with open door?? this is the first and hopefully last..

Thanx Luke

If it is beeping while backing with the door open, then your truck has already been "fixed" by the dealer. The recall was to add the out of park alarm.

I have not had this particular recall done because I didn't want the truck beeping while I'm backing up with the door open. I'm not sure you will be able to get the dealer to reverse this.

if you dont have it currently, dodge may try to hit you up to install it... I would decline... I dont have it and dont want it. told the service rep that and he said no problem...
