RE: Winch mount in progress!!
About $45 for steel and about7 hours.
I took the bumper off finally to weld the two pieces together. The way we built it, it had to be tacked together on the truck then removed and welded the 2" receiver tube in and added gussetts on the ends and bottom.
When it's on the truck, the back of the straight tube is just outside the bumper. It's real low profile and I'll paint it silver to blend in even more.
The design is Cumminalongs but he hasn't built one yet. I guess he's waitin' for me to work out the bugs and there were some changes to his original design. I'll give more details tomorrow and I could probably get anyone some dimensions if they want to build it.
I have picts of the wood mock-up we made prior to fabrication. I'll have more here tomorrow if I can get it and the bumper back on. Its supposed to get into the low 20's and teens around here tonight with wind tomorrow. I wanted to have it on for the weekend trip to the mountains if I don't freeze my a$$ off working on it tomorrow.

All my spare time has been eaten up working on the wife's new hutch for the living room.
Hell, she got pissed at me last weekend. I had been out working for about 4 or 5 hours and just got done running some of the glue and couldn't really do anything else until it cured. So I figured, sheeit, it's nice out, I'm taking the bike out. So I go for a about a quick 30 min ride. I get back and she's all huffy and puffy. I'm like good god woman, I only borrowed my sack for a few minutes.....
