HELP...Im cold...
so my fan quit blowing back in the summer...first it only worked on 2 speeds..then 1..then I had to turn it off and on real fast to get it to come on...then nothing...so I was thinking bad switch..I jumped the fan to the battery..it came on and had been replaced recently anyway so I dont think its the blower...so I replaced the switch in the dash today and I still got nothing..and man its cold...any help?????? thanks a bunch

Yep, replace the speed resistor, it's about $15 from the dealer. Look under the hood, passenger side, on the top of the big black box that the fan mounts into. There you'll find a 4-wire plug attached to the resistor which is held in by 2 screws/bolts. If the wires are burnt or broken, you'll need to ask for the pigtail repair kit from the dealer as well.

Since even the "high" position on the fan switch was also not working then there is another problem.
Before I installed a replacement blower motor resistor pack my high speed was the only speed working. In almost all cases if the resistor pack is blown the high speed will work.
This may or not be it for yours, all summer since I custom modified my resistor block (melted harness and block) mine all of a sudden would stop working on all of the speeds, did the fan switch trick of turning it off and on and several times it would work for a day to few days before repeating. Turn out that when the blower motor had been replaced in the pass & that the mechanic used 'butt splices' on the connecting wire, one had broken so that engine vibration could open the connection and shut down the fan motor. Check the motor connections
If you can tell us the year and model of your van I may be able to help with an electrical schematic of your system. I would also need to know if your van has rear heat, and AC.
