The ASD relay can be tested and replaced easily. The EGR valve can also be tested/ cleaned and reinstalled with the vacuum line removed and plugged rendering it inoperable so that it cannot open and get stuck and possible cause stalling. The EGR valve is only for emissions. I remove and clean mine before every emissions test, and disconnect and plug the vacuum line right after passing.

The PCM is a nightmare to definitively diagnose without replacement to see if it cures the problem.

 

Sure it could also be one of these, but the coil is more likely and it is one of the less expensive items to change; that's why I suggested it first.

update: code was 25 and 37.

we replaced the AIS as indicated in code 25. and yes, the ais motor sucked and needed to be replaced.

but does anyone have any ideas about this code 37 junk?

 

If your tranny has a lock-up converter it means there's a problem with the lock-up circuit. If you don't have a lock-up converter, then it usually means your neutral safety switch isn't working correctly.

 

Hmmm...what would maybe by some symptoms of this you think?
