Ok, I am confused, do the tires actually roll? Or did you have to drag it on the trailer?

Sorry, my reply above should have been; "No, it's locked up hard."

Did you try heating the backing plates and rims with a blow torch and then followed by rocking????????????????????????????????????

Chrissakes man, I gave you something that may well succeed.

That's a lotta iron to heat up....... Likely the shoes have become glued to the drums.... It's gonna stink when you hit 'em with a torch........ Think I would toss them afterwards as well, and just replace with new EVERYTHING back there. Wheel cylinders, hardware kits, and adjusters, probably the lines as well..... (given the age.)

We won't be doing the heat rick until last resort. I go out every now and then and beat on the drum and backing plate.
I may try to break the adjuster off behind the drum if possible. Not possible to rock, as it does not run and not safe to try
where it is sitting. Thanks for all of the help folks!

Here's another idea (drum roll, please) :icon _hijack:

ANGLE GRINDER

Just cut off the hub in several places. Then, I'll have a beer, please.

You guys must not be familiar with the rear end of a B300, the drum is part of the rear hub etc., a huge and expensive part.
I have been letting it soak and beating on it with a hammer every few days. Going to get physical with it tomorrow.

Looking it up on rock auto, looks to be just a regular drum style setup, where the drum slides on over the lug studs, and is centered by the hub. Hit it with a bfh around the outer edge, in as many spots as you can, and it *should* break loose.

I pulled the axle out, and the drum stayed in place.

That's a full-floating axle, isn't it? (six or eight bolts into the hub to hold it in place.....)

The drum is stuck on the hub. If you have the right tools, you can pull the drum, hub and all......
