I have a 99 ram van 1500..3.9L, I have changed everything that I know to change.it will not start. If I floor the pedal it tries to start. Parts changed.Engine coolant sensor.Map sensor, throttle position sensor,Injectors, cap rotor plugs spark plugs ignition coil, It smells like it is flooding during starting. What else can I do to get this thing running?
Flooding while starting is usually a bad coolant temp sensor..... or bad connection at the PCM, or bad wiring for the sensor.
Yes I have good spark..I changed the coolant temp sensor..what a time I had with that. I've bought a used computer and changed it and I have the same issue. Iam at my whitts end with this.

Yep. Or a bad connection for it somewhere. That was a two-wire connector for that? Right? I think your van only has one temp sensor.....
Do you have a scanner you can plug in, and see what temp the PCM thinks the engine is?
I'm going to buy 1 today I will keep you posted. I have no idea where to start looking for a bad wire I guess I will start at the sensor and try and go backwards.

Usually, the connector at the sensor disintegrates..... along with the top part of the sensor.
