I have a 99 Ram 3500 van with the 360. Anybody know which auto transmission is in that year model? Thanks in advance!

Depends on year, and number of drive wheels on the 'rango.

What is different about the 46re from a 4x4 98 -2000 durango compared to the 46re from a 4x4 96 ram 1500? I've tried Googling it every which way I can think of for the last year and a half and You are the only person Who Knows what your talking about

The older trans will have provisions for mounting the 4x4 shifter on it, the 98 and up fellers won't. You can use the older trans in a newer truck, but, going the other way..... gets complicated. Pretty much anything from 96 to 99 out of a four wheel drive vehicle (so long as it is also the 46RE), will bolt right in, hook right up, and work. (assuming it worked before it was removed. )
