Its just easier for me to knock out the joints, and press them in. Trying to press them out has always given me fits.

Have either of you @HeyYou or @alloro had any trouble pressing the joints in with the knuckle off? The threaded one is easy enough but I've heard it can be tough sometimes to get the press fit ones in straight. any tips for that?

Get it started as straight as you can, and as it presses in, it will straighten out all the way.

I use two big **** hammers. Hold one against one side of the knuckle, where the ball joint stud goes thru, then, SMACK the other side with the second hammer. Couple good hits is usually all it takes.

So hold a hammer on one side of the stud on the knuckle and whak the other side with a hammer? Nothing is happening haha, f this thing!

Squirted some penetrating oil, in there even took a torch to it whacked it a bunch tried to use the pickle fork but it feels pretty useless, wtf now

Looks like yours doesn't lend itself to the two hammer method very well. Just not a lot of room there. Maybe stuff a pickle fork in there, apply some pressure to try and pop the joint out, and THEN smack the knuckle with a hammer.

@HeyYou went and grabbed that feller and it doesnt open wide enough, ground off a piece of the threads to try and fit it on but its not working. pickle fork doesnt seem to be doing much either. Thinking about re-attaching the top thinking maybe the bottom is giving me fits because the top is detached and flopping around?

no freakin clue
