Default 318 ci timing chain replacement

I just replace the timing chain on my 1988 Dodge B250 camper. The original chain and pulleys where at 12 o'clock on the cam and 12 o'clock at the crank , I installed the new chain and pulleys the same way and the distributor rotor pointing at no 1 post ( no 1 piston ) and the motor runs perfectly. Can I continue to drive the van without any problem ?

Yep. When the cam dot is at 6, and the crank dot is at 12, number 6 is in firing position. So, you did it right.

Yep, you did it right. Just keep an eye out for oil leaks for a while, especially if you didn't drop the oil pan. After a couple of weeks of driving, if you don't have a leak, you're done.

If you hadn't done it right, the engine simply wouldn't run.

You're fine. If no oil is leaking, and it's running good. Unless it starts to overheat after long drives, there's nothing to worry about. If it overheats a bit, tweak the timing on the distributor. As it is, you did good.
