Default 2003 5.2L Engine Rust Worth Saving?

This 03 2500 has been in the family since 2003 and garaged most winters. It was strictly a work truck during the warmer months. I've since acquired the van and want to get it cleaned up to use more often. I went looking for an exhaust leak and saw this. The frame in the middle of the van is in great shape but the whole front end looks like it was pulled from the Titanic.

Wow, that's pretty nasty...... Do they use salt on the roads there? Live near the ocean? Sprinkle salt water on your engine daily???

Poor van

You would be taking the exhaust manifolds off via a head removal now...wow...
