My 96 is a window van with the pop out windows. The handles at the bottom work, but the bolt where it passes through the glass is loose. There is a rubber washer on the outside of the glass, but none on the inside. There is just a metal washer and the nut and the nuts are not tightened. Before I tighten them I would like to find out if there are supposed to be rubber washers on the inside of the glass. All of them are the same which makes me think they aren't required, but my gut says there should be some.
For my money, tossing some rubber washers in there certainly won't hurt anything.... and I am just not a fan of metal against glass.... That just doesn't seem quite right to me. Even nylon washers would be better than steel, I would think.
