ECU repair experience please
electrical can do some weird erm... stuff.
Well its running. While disconnecting things and checking voltages etc. I found there was an intermittent click coming from somewhere when messing with the cam position connector. Found the 5v feed from the ecu had the insulation worn through on the rear manifold bolt and was grounding it out. There was no protective sheath or even elecrical tape over the 3 wires. Found many other places where measures need to be taken to protect the wires and keep future incidents from happening.
Used a couple of coats of liquid tape on the spot and kept it away from everything and after plugging everything back in. it started right up. I'm not totally convinced this is my only problem, but it's running right now. Going to let it run in the driveway and get hot and see what happens. Hopefully this is it and I'll be good to go.

Engine instantly STOPS running.
I saw a video where they showed that the cam sensor was only needed for startup. They unplugged it and it ran fine.
If it dies on me after running awhile I have a friend who is a tech and he has a scanner so that should help in figuring out what is going on.
