The van is at 100,000 miles (almost exactly).
The timing chain had 5/8 inch of deflection. The new double roller I bought from Hughes has 3/8 inch deflection.
I forgot to take a pic of the new chain, but boy it was pretty! Haha!

A little water pump **** for you.
The original pump looks and feels like new, but I’ve replaced it with another OEM Mopar pump so I figure this one will last the life of the van. Especially that the coolant was probably never changed in the past 25 years.

One of the side brackets on the radiator had broken its solder joint loose. Also, the core looked looked really full of crud. I never had any cooling problems at all, but, since the radiator was already out., I decided to take it to a local radiator shop who charged me $110 to unsolder the top, clean the core and solder everything back together. I was considering buying a three row aluminum radiator, but this one was already doing an excellent job so…
I decided to take advantage of the intake being off and had a look at the carbon buildup on the valves with a borescope. I don’t know about you, but I expected to see a lot more carbon than that. I’m not even tempted to clean them. OK, well, if I’m honest about it, I AM tempted, but I’m not going to. Haha!
