Plenum Gasket - Ram Van 5.9
Well, since it’s an “accessory” bracket, I figured it should have some bling. 🤣
Yeah, I always have pink paint on hand because my company paint the tools and equipment pink for easy identification.
I have a pink pipe wrench too! 🤣

Update: Finally got it all back together and fired it up. Purrs nicely, but the radiator has a leak somewhere. I need to pressure test it so I can find out where it’s leaking. I was thinking about buying an all aluminum three row, but the local radiator shop says that the all aluminum ones tend to leak. Is that true?

I decided to take advantage of the intake being off and had a look at the carbon buildup on the valves with a borescope. I don’t know about you, but I expected to see a lot more carbon than that. I’m not even tempted to clean them. OK, well, if I’m honest about it, I AM tempted, but I’m not going to. Haha!
Nah, I like it there. The rough surface of the carbon buildup probably makes more turbulence as the air passes the valves, improving fuel economy. Haha!
And, I'm not trying to start a huge debate here, but EVERYONE I've ever known who works in fuel (which isn't that many people, haha but still...), tells me that "top tier" gas is just marketing hype and that even different BRANDS are the same gas. I'd love to see someone, unbiased, do a test with a video camera on some fleet vehicles (a fairly controlled environment).

Only if they have crimped on tanks. Copper radiators tend to have their tanks soldered on, making them much less likely to leak at a seam.

Yes most all the gas, except in a few cases, is the same. Gas is a mixture of heptane and octane...this is base gas...
Then the trucks go to the additive station. Each brand has its own additives...are some are the same such as Exxon / Mobile / Race Trac (I think) / Circle K ...Shell VPower has its own special additive pack...
