Does anyone know How much shorter does the bolts have to be on the Bottom intake pan? Is the SKP or Dorman Kits included bolts shorter length? I was thinking about the aluminum pan but my van 1500 5.2L has 160K+ miles and its been working good thus far. Im not sure if the aluminum is worth it. This is just a fishing van that needs to get me from GA to FL.

If you look at the plenum bolts, they have a little 'nub' on the end. Cut that off, and they are fine. Trouble is, there's a LOT of them. So, kinda tedious. Could take one to your local hardware store, match 'em up to something a little shorter, and probably only spend a couple bucks.

You can always add washers instead.
