Default LED's in the cup holder

Not sure if this has been posted here or not. Did a search , but found nothing. I installed LEDs in the cup holder so I could see at night to put my drink in there. Here are a few pics:

For power, tied into the illumination wire to the radio....orange wire with the thin blue stripe.

I do not take responsibility if you do this to your vehicle and you mess it up. Do it at your own risk...

You should show a pic of the lights at night time.

I have one, but the pic does not do it justice at all.

That is a kick a$$ idea. I don't care for the fact that you can't see the holder at night. I've even had the idea of putting a mercury switch on the holder so the lights would only work when the holder is in use.

I don't have that same cup holder, but I just flip on the interior lights for a sec if I can't see clearly...

I like the idea, but not that the lights are green. Do they come in different colors?

Yes, you can get them in different colors at Radio Shack. I went with green to match the rest of the interior lights. The LEDs dim with the interior lights...

Is there a way to install these into the door handles on the exterior so that i could make them light up when i lift the handle so i can see the key hole without having to feel for the hole or ding the key into my new paint job.
