I have a whopping 1,138 miles on my '04 Ram 1500 HEMI. I bought it at Christmas.

ps. I know that's not what you were shooting for, but it was too hard
to pass up.

No one can tell you exactly when it's going to die. Have put the second timing chain on at 200,000 miles. If not you need to. Remember your truck has alot of highway mileage on it which is alot better than city mileage. Which means if it is running ok, I would drive ituntil it stops. It's paid for and good forcollege students. Everybody is talking about how aToyota never dies but go Dodge !!!!!

I just sold my 94 Dakota with a 318 5-speed that had 224,500 miles on it. I kick myself for selling it, but with three kids and the wife, there wasn't much room. I towed a 3600 lb race car on 2000 lbs worth of car trailer, generator, tools, and spare parts, for 3 years. Smoked several sets of tires, (as well as several chevys and fordshee hee) It still had the original clutch in it, and you couldn't even make it slip if you tached it up to 4500 rpm and dumped it!! I'll miss that truck! Hope my Ram lives up to the same reputation! So far it's not off to a good start with the heater core going at 57,000 miles!

Wow, those high numbers are great to see. I have put 241 miles on mine. It was a leftover. The 5.9 is not in demand at all. I partically stole it. So, I am happy to see the high mileage on the magnums. Great thread.
