info on when mds started

i was wondering in what year did the mds start, i was told it was 06 but the guy wasnt sure. does anyone know for sure?

2006 is what I have read as well.
Not availible on MegaCab or 2500/3500 trucks, just 1500 std cab and QuadCab.
