I have an Intake and Catback. Due to the QC weight with me in it, its more like a 30% loss. Guys at DTW have Stock 5.9's at 170 RWHP. 75 HP loss[:@]. I was dissappointed with the Superchip and have contacted them with my concerns. Hemi guys are getting 260 from a stock set-up. 85 HP loss. My goal is 250 at the rear wheels, w/o a supercharger. TB, Cam, gears, Headers should get me close though. Oh 5800lb with me in her.

The Tuner requires at least 91 octane. I had Sunoco 94 in her. I have been told that the operator of the Dyno should have set the rpms lower and the Truck would have shown more low end gains.

Btw, I don't know that to be true about setting the rpms lower.

Impressive #'s. We didnt buy these trucks to set crazy dyno numbers, we bought these trucks to tow around race cars..

Vader. That shouldn't be too difficult. There is something to the lower RPM comment with the Magnum engines that many people overlook, valvetrain instability. Since the rockers are pedistal type they get unstable at higher RPMs (> 4500). There are pushrod guides that help a bunch with this instability. A good set of roller-rockers helps too.

The numbers you got aren't to bad. 195 HP x 1.25= 244HP. So your there and the mods you are talking about should get you to the 250 rating.

Have you tried a new motivator unit?[sm=lol.gif]

Keep us posted.

If not the motivator, maybe the flux capacitor

Vader, did you by any chance get the AFR plot? if so, can you post it? you have the 5.9?

Is this w/the headers installed? Looks like they started the run late, was that the only one? the shop I go to will give 3 runs for $60, not bad and give any plot of data that he collects. (found a lazy O2 sensor that way).

the peak that is around 4400 rpm, is that the 8hp? Sorry for all the Q's but it is exciting when someone takes their ride to the dyno A friend of mine just baselined his chevy before installing a set of ?gibson? headers which I think he put on last weekend (need to check), he should be ready to head back to the dyno...

Oh yeah, another thing, did you give the motor a few runs to adjust to it's new settings again? (not sure what year your truck is) It may also acount for the low #'s (8hp)
