Default Squeaky Door

My passenger door sqeaks like crazy when its opened and closed... It so loud an annoying! So I tried WD40 but that didn't help. Is the a better kind of grease I could use? What should I get and where would I go to buy it?

My Dakota had the same problem.
You can use some type of solvent or plain kerosene or diesel to remove any old grease or dirt and then wash with water and detergent, with plenty of detergent bubbles and dry then apply any regular motor oil to the hinges you can use a seringe so you don't
over apply and make a mess, apply directly to the hinge.

Try applying the Kerosene or Diesel, with pressure to get in the small places.

That did it for me. Did it to both doors.

WD40 is more of a penatrate. I would clean the hinge and use a white lithium grease. Just my opinion.

WD40 is not a lubricant, Ruslt, you are right. It really is more of a cleaner... You want to use a good lithium grease spray or something. Are there zert fittings on the hinge?

Exactly, White lithium grease works best.. cause it stays right whereyou put it for a LONG time... there IS 1 drawback to it tho.. It kinda Smells! When the weather gets real hot, the grease gives off this bad smell ( similar to dank urine) LOL.... just thought Id put that in there... dont use too much, or ur trucks door area will be smellin like urine! LOL.. but it works tho!
Find it at any hardware store, or Loews or H depot! Comes in a toothpaste-like tube.

It is like a little nipple type thing that you find on the chasis to grease it, some hinges have them so you can grease them, but I dont think the rams do.

Cyclo Break-away....somewhat of a yellow can, w/ a yellow top.
i didnt clean my hinges at all, matter of fact i spray'd WD-40 on them,
they sounded good for a day, but after that they started sqeaking worse!!

so i soaked it in Cyclo, opened and shut it 30 times, bam, hasn't squeaked since.
and my door hinges are nasty, there's actually slop, or play in the hinges, you can see little gaps .......
