some talk came up on weather or not the stealth was a real dodge.i say it is dodge and mitubishi in some way got together and made these cars.any one know the facts on this deal....

it's about as much dodge as my Geo Prizm is a Chevrolet (as it's titled). or my Dodge D-50 is a dodge. The only dodge on my D-50 is the emblem that says "Dodge"

The Dodge Stealth is merely a re-badged Mitsubishi 3000.
Engine, suspension, transmission, body design, are all done by Mitsubishi (and most parts are branded as such also).

 

It was built right along side the 3kgt in Nagoya, Japan...

 

the dodge stealth is the mitsubishi 3000gt. all trim levels. the gto is the same as the rt with the dohc na engine, the vr4 is the same as the twin turbo. mitsu built these cars for dodge, changed the styling and slapped a dodge sticker on it. and bingo we have the dodge stealth. this is honestly the only reason i bought this car because i never myself would own a dodge lol

 

if it says dodge and dodge sold it, id say regardless of the internals, its a dodge

 

it may be a dodge, buts is heart and soul is mitsubishi. a lot of heart and soul powerd the American mini van + daytonas, dynasty, ect, until dodge could build a better v/6 than the mitsubishi V/6.

Jap engine, American transmison, and chrysler automatics could not handel the jap engine... in the bread and butter mini van.

 

That is the ONLY thing Dodge about it. Internals, external, country of manufacture is all Mitsu. About the only thing Dodge did to the vehicle was change the design of the plastic cladding.

 

I know, but insurance and title say Dodge. :shrug:

 

my Geo Metro is made by Suzuki and the title says Chevrolet.
