Transaxle flush with ATF+3
All,
I've read alot about the mopar trannies and some recommend only using the ATF+3 fluid from the dealer for use. I've seen QuakerState ATF+3 and was wondering if anyone else had tried it or recommends it.
Anyone?

Well another site said it was ok...think it was allpar.com or something like that. So I changed the fluid and filter today. Didn't flush it, but then a 4qt change is better then nothing. If your fluid ain't red, it probably needs to be changed.

How often are you guys changing your ATF? (I am thinking of 40k mi, for mostly city driving.) I don't believe this "lifetime" recommendation in most new cars, although I am glad to see a 45k mi recommendation for severe service.

ORIGINAL: dakotaquadsport If I'm not mistaken ATF +4 replaces +3 and is now recommended for use by Chrysler.

I was just told by my dealer to use 4 in my 01 when I changed fluid, that`s what i did. They said that`s what they put in all the older cars that had 3 in them when they do any fluid changes. So far so good.
