Default CEL won't clear for p0058

So I have had a CEL for p0058 for a month now, and this weekend I decided to finally swap it out 2/2 sensor. I followed this picture and have since driven over 250 miles and the light won't go away. I went to AZ and used their scanner to try and manually clear the light, and it wouldn't delete. It keeps saying that the code is posted twice. I am really starting to get annoyed that I am having so many issues just clearing an 02 code. here is the picture for reference. I am having a friend come over with his Snap On scanner to see if we can get it removed.

If you disconnect the battery for a while, The light should reset. If it doesn't, then you may a problem with that circuit.

So we hooked it up to the snap on scanner this morning and cleared the back up history and the light turned off. As soon as we started the car the light instantly came on. So this is making me think that the sensor wasn't the culprit. What should my next troubleshooting step be? A little background on this issue, it came on directly after coming out of the car wash. I have had the CEL come on after the wash before, but normally cleared itself after a good drive. Could water have gotten into a connector and shorted something out? I just wonder why it would be giving a circuit high. Could the ground be bad, and if so how would I even get to the bundle, because it goes up and behind the motor? Any ideas? Is there a fuse connected to this specific circuit that could have popped causing the voltage to reed improperly? And if the ground for the sensor was bad, would it only be to that specific 02 sensor, or am I going to be hunting for an electrical gremlin? Once again the only code showing up is P0058.

you replaced the sensor, right? where did you bought ur O2 sensor from?
If you used a Bosch sensor from AZ, replace it with a OEM one from dealer.

I replaced the back one, but I will change out the front one and see if that makes a difference, but I went solely off of this picture as far as bank 1 or 2.

It is a Bosch one from advanced, but does that really make a difference? What would make the sensor so bad that it would instantly post a code when the car turns over? I would expect it to possibly not last as long, but to just not work period sounds awfully strange.

So I just pulled the car up on ramps and took a look under there again and while I was under there I noticed that the front 02 sensor had a wire that was shredded up pretty badly. So I decided to pull it out and I put in the sensor that I pulled out of the back slot, to see if that possibly clears it. My commute tomorrow is 96 miles round trip so I assume that if it is going to clear on it's own it will do so during the drive. I also disconnected the battery and will leave it off all night. If I hook it back up in the morning, and the light is gone, I will know that it was that front sensor and the picture I was using for reference is wrong. I will post up my findings tomorrow as well as upload some pictures of what I have been looking at.

So that front 02 sensor was bank 2 and also the culprit. I left the battery off all night and when I started her up this morning, no more light. I drove my normal 90 miles today and the light is still gone. I have also started and restarted the car a few times to ensure that it wouldn't re-register. How long/how many miles should I wait before I take it into be inspected? I don't want to go in and have them turn me away because the car doesn't have enough miles on the ecu. Thanks for the help solving this problem folks!
