I have 4 children that go to the same high school so they use this car. According to them, it started right up in the morning as usual then they drove it to school and it ran fine the whole way, but when they got out of school it wouldn't start.

A diagnostic fee would have been a good idea. Cheaper than 700 bucks.

Does it sound like it's freewheeling? Can you submit a video with audio of the condition? It's 2017 ya know hehe

Lol. I had a dealer diagnostic done on it and as I am a mechanic I also have the same diagnostic tools so I did the same test after they did to get a second reading which was the crankshaft sensor. That didn't fix the problem (yes I also did the physical power, ground, signal test) and they all passed on two units that I have.

so after checking the fuel pressure again. LOL. The new fuel pump is better than the old one it says 40 psi with just the key switch on. 60 psi cranking.

2.7L ? Unplug the cam sensor and crank over for about 7-10 seconds.

Can you see the cam and crank in sync on the scan tool while you turn it over? Thinking possibly the flex plate cracked and shifted.
