i attempted changing my plugs, this sucks
well i just got done attempting to change the back 3 plugs on my 01 R/T. i took every bolt out of that intake on top. moved some stuff out of the way, even got it to wiggle and lift a little, maybe an 8th inch. it would move to a point but something in the back was holding it up. i know there is a pipe coming out ot the back and what looks like a motor lift mount or something. i took two of the 3 out but it didnt seem to make a difference. Is there something else back there im missing that needs to be taken off or loosened? does anything on the throttle body thats holding it up? it looks like its all clear of it. Oh, and Just for the record, what a dumb *** friggen engine design, what the hell were they thinking!!!
i seem to recall that you have to remove the tube going to the back of the intake manifold.
there shouldnt be any brackets or anything on the TB...i thought that it was just the manifold bolts and that pipe. are you sure that its not just "Stuck"?

the inner bolt on that pipe coming out of the back is real hard to get to, bad positioning, if i get that out it should come off right?
I just changed my plugs a week ago and there are 2 bolts on the back side of the manifold, one is on the rights side rght below the throttle body and the other is in the middle of the intake. also you hav to take the pipe off of the manifold that ios hooked to te exhaust.

I too thought I would let the Dealer tackle the plenum removal routine ... so I called a Dodge dealer and asked for an estimate on a tune-up that included spark plug replacements ... $600.00 !!! I'm assuming the service guy takes you to dinner and a movie first.
yeah the prices to have it done are ridiculous, i was at midas getting brakes done and i asked about spark plugs the guy told me $300 or so, because of all the work involved, gotta be a much cheaper way to get this done
