Not much we can tell from that. Did they have the same drivers. Most is blurred. But there is no doubt that the lighter Corvette beat the Viper.
One thing, who ever the driver/s were. They couldn't get them up to their full potential.

Blurred? Maybe new glasses or screen may help out here. Whenever magazines give out data like this they either use the same driver or they get the averages of all drivers. If they use more than one driver, every driver drives every car. They don't use times from one lap only.

One thing that I have problems believing about these 0-60 times is this. I remember seeing the 99-02 Viper GTS having the exact same acceleration time despite having 50-60 less hp and 35 less ft-lbs of torque. In fact, I have even seen some sources say 3.9 0-60 on the 99-02 Viper GTS! Here is an interesting fact. Look at the compression ratio difference between the Corvette and the Viper! http://www.caranddriver.com/article....rticle_id=9017 http://www.allpar.com/cars/viper/coupe.html GM has to use an outragous 11.0:1 verses Dodge uses a more mild 9.6:1 compression ratio. If the Viper was given the 11.0:1 compression ratio with already powerful Viper, that would more than make up the difference. The GT has the advantages of a supercharger and multivalve technology. I think that if Chrysler would just make a new V10 based off of the 6.1 liter HEMI, that would make all the necessary difference and then some.

Here is something else to pay attention to. Here are the axle ratio differences between the three. Viper 3.07; Corvette 3.42; GT 3.36. Both the Corvette and GT have the advantage in acceleration, but at the cost in top speed. On the top speed difference, the Viper must be electronically governored. If you look at the top speed of the Viper at the RPMs, in which it reaches it, the Viper has so much more room to go. Also, the 450 hp Viper GTS of 99-02 had a top speed of 192 mph according to MotorTrend. I would like to see the top speed of all three of these cars without any governors at all. I'm not sure who would win between the GT and the Viper but the Corvette would most likely loose. Look at the gearing difference between the two. http://www.supercarx.com/articles/sp...orvettezo6.htm and http://www.allpar.com/cars/viper/coupe.html The Viper has the top speed gearing advantage between the two because it has both taller gearing and a higher-speed rear-axle ratio (both top speed advantages).
