I don't need a fancy-smancy number to be cool, I'll just take #133.

I've been on here for a while but took a long break. Hope to get a little more involved.

I painted my stockers. They were the chrome steps that came with the truck. Just sand them down good before painting and you should be good.

ok cool. i bought some black paint from autozone. its called rust tough enamel. it says ultimate corrosion protection. the brand is krylon. its in a black spray can. i used it when i was painting my bumper on my old dakota. you think a couple coats of this will be good?

also, does anyone know what type of aftermarket headlights will fit a 01 ram SPORT. im looking to get black headlights, but ic hecked on ebay, and almost all of them say fits all models EXCEPT sport. =(

After you sand it down, make sure you use a self etching primer on the nerf bars. It will help the paint stick better and in the long run you will have less chance of it peeling or flaking. You can get the duplicolor self etching primer at most stores for a few bucks.

You can paint those too, same as the side steps. Sand them down and use a little self etching primer. Here is a pic of mine.

You might want to use heat resistant paint. I didn't on mine and have not had any problems but I also run my exhaust through my cutout almost all the time so my tips never really get hot.
