Usually by mid/late December we can atleast drive 4wheelers and snow cats on the ice then usually by mid January we can drive trucks out there. (before i go out i like it a good 24inches thick just to be safe). Usually by very early December we can walk on it to(usually 1.5-2inches of GOOD ice.).. also leanred my lesson there is good ice.. and there is bad ice. You can easily walk on 2inches of good ice. YOu cannot easily walk on 2inches of bad ice, you tend to get wet.
Count me in 95 ram 5.9l 2wd. And i put in a K&N filter and get around 22 in town and 27 highway no lie. I know that i only have 2wd though and dont have the heavy front axle to push.
What in the heck did you do to your engine to get that!? I would kill for that kind of mileage. I know I bought a truck and don't expect good mileage but that is awesome! Sorry to get off topic nim.
shiloh is your truck 2wd? what kinda mileage are you getting?
im thinking that tough ram's calculations are bad or he only drives downhill lol
He drives down hill with the truck shut down. I just got 11 loaded down going up and down hills on the highway going between 60-90. That was with the superchips set on tow mode. Big hills and a heavy load.
