ok.. we really need to get a date and start setting for a uwharrie trip.. i really really want to go to this one. and i hvae to save money to be able to go.. so.. little update on my truck.. busted another transfer case, blew another tranny... still got my oil leak.. lol
edit: yes i know the bottom bar is bent..i hit a deer the same night i put the brush guard on lol
Gotta love the timing on that one.
My bottom bar is bent from a chain lifting it up as I got yanked out of a door deep hole. That is what made me want to install a front hitch so I wouldn't have to hook to the frame any more.
I'm still working away on the solid axle swap. I'm just waiting on the correct high steer arms to get here so I can get the steering links built and installed. I added another project in with the solid axle swap that I'm going to knock out tomorrow... I got an NV4500 5 speed to replace the NV3500 that was in my truck. Lower first gear and much stronger to turn those big tires. I just had a feeling that if I kept the NV3500 in the truck that it wouldn't last long with what I expected of it. But I decided that before I pick a transfer case to use... before I finish building the transmission crossmember... before I measure for driveshafts, etc. that I should go ahead and put in a transmission that I really want so I don't have to do all that work again.
