wow ill def check it out i run 5k mile increments as i grew up on dino and well all oil breaks down alot as it heats and after the viscosity is wore out i feel there to much friction now synthetic is better but im to scared to run a oil for extended periods as 25k or even 10k i do go 7500 in my 02 taurus and it has 140k on it and it runs really great but it only get driven around town and 50 miles a week usually....my wife works 10 minutes from here and she drives it...but not with a vehicle thats driven alot like my truck it needs oil changes about every 3months.,...its just my preference

Yeah, I gotcha....

It takes me 7 to 8 months to put 5k on my truck.... I only drive it on the weekends... During the week I drive the Mercury because I work 65 miles from home and the car gets much better gas mileage then the truck (25 vs 17)..... I last serviced the truck 12-20-09 and I have exactly 3144 miles on that oil in just over 6 months so as you can see I don't drive the truck much. I figure I'll hit the 5K and need to service it again sometime around October or November...or Just shy of a year from the last service.

The way I look at it.... it's much more financially feasible to put all the miles on the car....afterall, it was a cheap car @ $10K....

You can go to their site and sign up to buy it at "dealer" prices. I set myself up a couple years ago, had a dealer price list, member packet and a bunch of other stuff. No monetary commitment of any kind, or at least was not then.

I really wasn't thinking about re-selling, but at that time had two vehicles, an ATV, a tractor and two boats so I would have bought a bunch even just for myself.

I never made a single order, that was about the time my folks took ill and I never pursued it. There is NO minimum to buy, so you can just buy for yourself when you need it..

Actually, it looks like you can be a "member" for $20 a year and buy at 25% off retail, PLUS there is a NO COST 6 month trial membership:

Or you can setup as a "dealer" with under a $50 commitment and no inventory or minimum order requirements. I believe that is what I was set up as, I wonder if I'm still listed as a dealer?

Yep....I love it...it's really added allot of life to our vehicles over the years and allowed me to put a ton of miles on all our vehicles. We average 200,000 before we get rid of a vehicle.... I put 277,000 on my 1997 Ram 2500 4x4 with the 360 and my 1993 Dually had 304,000 on it when I finally junked it....
I personally attribute the long life to using Amsoil.

Yeah I encourage signing up too if you plan on buying it often.... I've been involved with/Used Amsoil for many years... I don't even remember how or when I originally signed up with them but I had the same idea you did...I just wanted it for personal use at a cheaper price...... With three kids we have 4 vehicles and couple toys as well so I figured it would save us quite a bit having an account with Amsoil.. Retail is high for Amsoil.

It's worked out good...I just order it from the Orlando warehouse when I need it...They ship it to me..... When somebody I know wants it I send them to the Amsoil site so they can order what they need.... everyone ends up happy.....

Yeah, I don't recall ever being told I need to buy any certain amount or anything like that..... I Just get it when I need it... It works out good.... I'm very pleased with them.

Jess
